Data Destruction

Tuesday May 16, 2017

Southwest Florida Water Management District in Sarasota

NAID, the National Association for Information Destruction, takes seriously the need to truly destroy the data that is ready for destruction.  Compliance issues and legal requirements are just two parts of data destruction requirements.

When data is deleted, it should no longer be accessible by the operating system or application that created it. But deleting a file is not enough; data destruction software must be used to overwrite the available space/blocks with random data until it is considered irretrievable.

Come and hear Adam Ball and Chris Parker talk about the ins and outs of data destruction.
